How to make Almond Milk

If you are an almond lover and want to try something different, homemade almond milk is a delicious and healthy choice. Moreover, by using our Sicilian almonds, you can achieve an even more authentic and tasty result. In this article, we will guide you to create your own fresh and nutritious almond milk.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almonds;
  • 4 cups water;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional);
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup;
  • Β A pinch of salt.
Instructions:
  1. Soaking the Almonds: Put the almonds in a bowl and cover them with water. Let them soak for at least 8 hours or overnight. This will make the almonds softer and make them easier to process.
  2. Rinsing and Draining: After soaking, rinse the almonds well under running water. Drain and shake them to remove excess water.
  3. Blending: Place the almonds in a blender along with 4 cups of water. Also add the vanilla extract, honey or maple syrup and a pinch of salt. Blend everything until smooth and homogeneous.
  4. Β Straining: Place a tea towel or fine-mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour the almond mixture into the dishcloth and allow the liquid to filter through. Slightly squeeze the tea towel to extract all the almond milk.
  5. Storage: Transfer the almond milk into an airtight bottle or container. Store in the refrigerator and consume within 3-4 days.
Tips:
  • Shake the almond milk well before using it, as it can separate slightly.
  • You can use the almond pulp left in the tea towel to make biscuits, bread or add it to smoothies.
